Terms and Conditions

We cater for a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 100 people for the spitbraai.

We require a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF 50%, TO CONFIRM THE BOOKING. The FULL BALANCE must be paid 7 days before the SPITBRAAI. Failure to pay IN FULL can result in the FORFEITURE of your deposit and the cancellation of the SpitBraai. Quote your invoice number as the reference for your payment. Unfortunately, we do not accept cheque deposits. Please fax or email deposit slip to Fireside Foods at details provided.

WE ONLY ACCEPT CHANGE IN WRITING UP TO 7 DAYS BEFORE THE FUNCTION. No other form of changes will be accepted.

We levy a travel charge for functions outside Lynnwood area. This charge will be added to your invoice.

Children under 10 years of age pay half the quoted price. CHILDREN PAY FULL PRICE FOR CROCKERY AND CUTLERY. Children pay full price on special and certain menu options.

PLEASE ADHERE to the TIME you requested to be SERVED. We arrive (+-4) four hours before the serving time, prepare the meat on a gas operated spit machine and stay at the venue for one (1) hour after serving. After which we collect and check all our equipment on site.

Any crockery, cutlery or equipment damaged or lost will be charged for and must be paid to the personnel at the venue. The invoice will be sent afterwards. None of our equipment will be left on site.

Vegetarians are welcome. Please let us know of any dietary requirements you might have for s to able to assist you.

PRICES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT ANY NOTICE.

WE CANNOT PREPARE THE MEAT IN THE RAIN & WIND. Spitbraais are dependent on the weather.

Please note that we require a neat and clean table for serving purposes.

Please note that our Spit-Braai equipment does not fit through a standard door. The machines are 90cm wide, 143cm high and 153cm long. Our equipment is heavy and cannot be carried without assistance.

Please note that our SpitBraai machines cannot go upstairs without assistance.

Please ensure there are containers for your leftover food.

Please note in peak season (Oct-Dec) we have only 2 (two) serving slots/times.

The times are as follows: For lunchtime functions 13:00 or before 13:00. For afternoon functions 20:00 and after 20:00.

Fireside Foods takes no responsibility for harm/damage caused if beyond our control.

Serving date & times are given in good faith. We use every endeavour to comply therewith. We cannot be held responsible for external influences e.g. traffic, accidents, road closure etc. We cannot take responsibility for any delay of goods from suppliers that is beyond our and/or our supplier’s control.
